Saskatoon police find $100K in drug bust

Saskatoon drug investigators have seized a briefcase containing $100,000 in cash, along with about 3.4 kilograms of marijuana.

They found the case and drugs following a search of a car and an apartment on Wednesday.

A Saskatoon man, 27, has been charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000.

He’s scheduled to appear in provincial court on Thursday afternoon.

The case was investigated by the Saskatoon Integrated Drug Unit, which is made up of members of the RCMP and the Saskatoon city police.
